Many have often wondered why it is socially acceptable for a man to date a young women twenty plus years his junior, but not for a woman dating a younger man. As our society is evolving women are now being categorized in terms of the cat world. Cougar, panther, and kitty dependent on what type of man they are dating. Now the question on most people’s minds is how a relationship would work between an older woman and a younger man. For the woman considering this type of relationship they need to keep in mind they are not a parent and should not treat their partner as one.
Remember why you are with this young adult and more importantly understand where each of you stands in life and why you are dating one another. He may still like to club, whereas you maybe more apt to stay in with dinner and a movie. Communication, as in any relationship, is the key. Make sure to communicate what pleases you, what you need and more importantly what you want. Always compromise, but don’t sacrifice and treat your young man as an equal. Just because you are older doesn’t give you any more dominance in the relationship.
