Are you a fan of slogan t-shirts? Then you should check out Henry Holland’s witty range. They are worn by celebrities including Holland’s friend, model Agyness Deyn. He began with rhymes such as ‘I’ll tell you who’s boss, Kate Moss’ and ‘Do me daily, Christopher Bailey’ (referring to the creative director of Burberry), and now has a range of ‘initial’ t-shirts, such as N.A.L.G.O (Not a lot going on – think we’ve all had days like that!).

There’s more to House of Holland than t-shirts though. The designer has produced tartan wedding dresses, colourful jackets, printed outfits, block colours, and dots. These garments are about as far away as you can possibly get from minimalism. Holland’s designs are not for the shy and retiring, to be sure! His sense of fun leaps out from every piece, and unlike many designers he doesn’t take himself or his work too seriously.

Henry Holland works with other stores, so if you’re on a budget, you could check out one of the diffusion lines. H by Henry Holland is produced for Debenhams. With prices starting at around £10 for a skirt or t-shirt, you can have that designer touch without spending a fortune. The range is considerable, and includes swimwear, jackets, footwear, dresses, watches and bags. Many items are available in bright colours reminiscent of the 80s, an influence which appears in many of his designs.

One of the latest collaborations is a range of tights for Pretty Polly. This is a great way of getting a designer touch without spending a fortune. The mock suspenders add a bit of fun to any outfit, as do the alphabet tights and the pair with little houses all over them. Who needs basic black? If you thought there was nothing new to be done with denim, check out Henry’s range for Levis and prepare to be surprised.
